Dear friends and acquaintances,
This message is written in a response to the current flood situation that arose
My name is Reza Shawon, My organization's name is Daahuk- which mainly works with village based integrated tourism in the vast haor area of Sunamganj district in Bangladesh. We are closely connected with a few villages in the region in the pursuit of work.
The villages deep inside the haor have been inundated by the rising water of the last few days. There is no food in people's homes, and no opportunity to deliver food. The communication of these villages is completely cut off from Sunamganj Sadar! So far no government or private aid initiative has come here for help so far. Specially in the deepest part of the haor are four villages - Jaipur, Golabari, Silantahirpur and Ratanshree.
Some of these villagers are fishermen or small farmers. This group is the most affected by the Corona epidemic and is a kind of jobless. And for the third time in a row, they have suffered the most. We need to reach out to the people of the region as soon as possible with emergency help. If possible, before Eid. And I will be personally responsible for everything in this whole process.
The action plan for this purpose is as follows-
Ratanshree, Sulemanpur, Golabari and Jaipur - we will conduct this aid activity in these four villages, hence we are directly connected with these few villages. we will Prepare a list of the 300 most affected families among the residents of these villages, handing them cash assistance at the rate of Rs.1000 per person.
One team leader for every five people will be selected, the team leader's phone number and details will be saved. So that the transparency and details of the distribution are known as needed.
If you require any further information in this regard for all these coordinates, official connections, details of the villages to which relief will be delivered, please let us know.
Finally, I kindly invite my acquaintances and friends to participate in this support for the Haor area. I cordially thank you for your kind time.
